About The Event
Havells in collaboration with Entrepreneurship Cell, DTU (E-Cell,DTU) brings to you a one of its kind hardware fest wherein participants need to come up with a technical hardware product or its prototype like (but not limited to) mini robots, mini satellites, arduino based projects, drone systems,etc. that is your novel take on the existing technology present or solves any kind of a technological, social, environmental, agricultural, ergonomic or economic problem.

Rules and Regulations
- The Product should either be your unique take on existing technology or cater to an existing problem i.e. it should be a solution to any technological, social, environmental, agricultural, ergonomic or economic difficulty faced in daily life.
- The participants are required to submit and at later rounds showcase a prototype or a MVP (minimum viable product)
- The internal judging panel will be selecting a total of 15 entries who will then be asked to present their ideas and products in Delhi technological University.
- One or more people from the final shortlisted teams need to be present at the venue for their participation to be considered during the course of the fest.
- The Final Round of Hardware Fest is planned entirely in physical mode. However, the mode of the fest is subject to change, as per the future situations due to Covid-19.

Initial Screening Round: In the first round, participants will be given approximately 2 weeks to
prepare their projects (this includes the pitch deck and the software simulation/video of the working
model).
Teams can start submitting their projects on March 18, 2022. Submission ends

Intermediate Round:The top 15 teams will be declared by April 07,2022 based on the decision of an internal judging panel who will use few important criteria to judge the projects. These are: Feasibility, Sustainability, Overall Design, Innovation, Product Market Fit and Technology Used.
Result Declaration
Top 15 teams will be selected.
Final Round:The final round will be conducted in the physical mode at Delhi Technological University. One or more members from each team need to be present at the venue, to showcase their product to the judging panel. (Note: The event may be switched to online mode depending on the latest Covid guidelines)

Is this a paid competition?
No, this competition is absolutely free for all participants.

Will this fest be conducted in offline or online mode?
The final round of the competition i.e the top 15 teams will be presenting their MVP or their working model in physical mode in Delhi Technological University where one or more members of the team need to be present for the final judging round. This is however, subject to change as per latest Covid guidelines.

How many members per team are allowed?
A maximum of 10 people can form a team and participate in the hardware fest.

Will a software generated prototype be considered?
No, the participants should present a working physical prototype or 3 D printed one for the final judging round. However, for the initial screening round, participants can submit a software generated prototype or a video of the working model.

How much time will be given between the first and final judging round?
The top 15 teams will be notified around 15 days prior to the final judging round so that there is sufficient time to finalize the MVP or the working model.

On what parameters will my project be judged?
There are a few important criteria on which the product will be judged. They are:
- Feasibility-How cost efficient is the product for bulk manufacturing
- Sustainability- How environmentally friendly is the product manufacturing and its overall impact on the environment
- Design- How functional and efficient is the layout of the product
- Innovation- newness/novelty in the idea
- Product Market fit- Is there demand for the product in market/Does it solve the pain points of customers
- Technology Used- Use of Hi-tech/cutting edge technology

Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly known as the Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) is a state university in New Delhi, India. It was established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic. In 1952, it started giving degrees after being affiliated with the University of Delhi. The institute has been under the Government of Delhi since 1963 and was affiliated with the University of Delhi from 1952 to 2009. In 2009, the college was given university status, thus changing its name to Delhi Technological University.
